Fan-tailed Cuckoo in Coastal Heath

It was a peaceful winter day in the coastal heath on the sandstone cliffs of Kurnell, calm and with good weather. I had sat down in a good spot to wait for birds to come closer and I was enjoying the ambiance. I saw a flicker of movement behind a stick above one of the bushes about two metres away from me, and I slowly raised myself up with the camera ready. Just over the bush, there was a fan-tailed cuckoo sitting on some dead branches.
